We believe that worship isn't just a service on Sunday morning but a way of life. God desires that every single thing we do be an act of worship towards Him – the thoughts we think, the words we choose, and the deeds we do.

Become Disciples
Jesus’ Great Commission to His first followers was to “make disciples.” Disciples are more than superficial believers in God; disciples learn from their Lord, become more like Him, and follow Him in the ways they think, live, and love.
Jesus said in John 8:31-32, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” - John 8:31-32
At Hudson First, we want to help each other become this kind of genuine follower of Jesus.
Love People
Jesus said in John 13:35, “By this all will know that you are My disciples: that you love one another as I have loved you.”
We believe that the love of God has the power to transform anyone’s life. We have seen it in our own lives, in the lives of others, and we desperately want the same for you.
At Hudson First, we actively seek out needs in our community and find ways to meet them. We believe our greatest mission is “outside” of the church building after we leave our worship gatherings.
We have partnered with our local elementary, middle, and high schools to be the first to contact when there is a need; we assist local ministries such as the Caldwell Pregnancy Care Center, Bethel Colony for men and women, Yokefellow, South Caldwell Christian Ministry, and several more.
Our largest outreach events are kid and family focused, seeking to build lasting relationships with families in our community to be a "life raft", offering resources, support, and most importantly, the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We also support overseas missions to Peru, Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine that focus on orphans for children and teens. Additionally, we send teams to those locations to serve and give. If you become part of Hudson First, you will have an opportunity to join one of those life-altering foreign mission trips.

Hudson First is over 190 years old. Founded in 1831, we have a rich history. Hudson First has had many different buildings and names, one being "Gunpowder Baptist Church" , but the God that brought together that first group of believers in 1831 is the same God that is leading us now! We celebrate our history, yet we have our eyes set on God and we are always ready to move when He says move!
Hudson First is seeing rapid growth! God is truly at work in our small town, bringing many to repentance and salvation, and in others, spiritual growth and maturity! We are seeking his guidance for our church, and are praying over a possible church plant in our near future! Join us in prayer as God leads us.
