Watch to see exactly what it looks and feels like to attend our Sanctuary worship service.
Our Sanctuary worship is led by our outstanding choir, accompanied by pipe organ and piano. Stained glass windows adorn walls, and rows of padded pews with hymnals and bibles tucked in the back, give this service a nostalgic feeling, the way church may have felt when you were a child.
The same sermon is preached in both Sunday morning services.

We would love to introduce you to our team, get to know you, answer your questions, and help you get involved at HF!
Our Sanctuary service is our smaller service, but that allows for a more intimate setting that fosters getting to know your neighbor and creating great friendships!
We promise that you will not leave without someone shaking your hand or inviting you to stay for Sunday School.
Bulletins/Programs are located at the main entrances to the Sanctuary. You can use these to follow along with the order of service, write down notes from the message, and learn about upcoming events in our church and comunity!
There is also a "connect card" attached to each bulletin. If you would like to let us know that you came, and get more information, fill it out and place it in the offering plate, located at the main entrances on your way out, or hand it to one of our ushers.
We know that the "unknown" of visiting a new church can be worrisome.

People begin arriving around 8:45 am and socialize before service begins at 9 am. You will be greeted at the door, and a Guest Services volunteer will offer you a bulletin.
At 9 AM, Pastor Paul welcomes everyone to worship.
Our service opens with a congregational song of praise, and everyone is encouraged to stand and sing along. The lyrics to each song are shown on the big screen, or there are hymnals in the cubbies located on the back of the pew in front of you if you prefer to follow along using them. The bulletin lists page numbers to the songs in the hymnals.
After the opening praise, Pastor Mack steps up to the podium and leads the congregation in prayer.
At this point, we have special music that we call “The Message in Song,” and it is usually a special anthem by our choir, and on occasion, a solo or duet. The congregation remains seated during this song, which seeks to illustrate the main idea of the sermon in praise to God.
At the conclusion of this song, the choir dismisses back to their seats, and Pastor Mack begins the sermon. His sermons are usually multi-part series, covering an array of topics such as books of the Bible, topical issues, and Bible-characters studies. Key points, along with the Scripture used for the sermon, are broadcast onto the large screen to assist you in following along. Message Notes are included in the bulletin if you would like to keep notes as the sermon is preached. Sermons are typically 40 minutes long and end with a prayer and an invitation to personally respond to what God has said to you in the message.
During this part of the service, we stand and sing a song of praise to God, and we welcome any who desire to come to the alter and pray or seek prayer with the pastor. After this response time is over, Pastor Paul closes our service with a prayer of benediction over the congregation, and we are dismissed to go home or to attend Life Groups that meet from 10am until 11am. Either way, many will stay and socialize for a few minutes following the service.
There are offering plates available at the three entrances of the Sanctuary, but you are not required or expected to place money in them. Hudson First’s ministries, missions, and operations are funded through the consistent and faithful giving of its members.
